  • Airbnb profit soars on pandemic-era lifestyles

    NEW YORK:

     Airbnb on Thursday reported record-high profit in the recently ended quarter as bookings surpassed pre-pandemic numbers, with remote work trends boosting the home-sharing platform.

    Users spent nearly US$12 billion on overnight stays and associated “experiences” through Airbnb, up significantly from the same period a year ago as well as from the same quarter in 2019 before the pandemic stalled the travel industry.

    “Something bigger than a travel rebound is happening,” Airbnb said in a letter to shareholders.

  • TRX lifestyle hub on track to reach full occupancy in Q4 2023

    KUALA LUMPUR:

     Tun Razak Exchange’s (TRX) lifestyle hub, The Exchange TRX, is on its way to full occupancy upon its opening to the public in the fourth quarter of next year (Q4 2023), Australian property developer Lendlease said.

    Lendlease and TRX’s master developer, TRX City Sdn Bhd, are jointly developing the lifestyle precinct.

    Mitch Wilson, project director for The Exchange TRX and head of retail for Lendlease Malaysia, said the confidence was based on the “overwhelming response” from potential tenants comprising local and international parties to date.

    2. Sleep

    Sleep is one of the most vital components of a healthy life. After a long day, it is the natural process of relieving exhaustion and stress, as well as healing your body.

    Adults require seven to nine hours of good sleep to ensure optimal functioning. You can improve your sleep by:

    • going to bed and waking up at the same time every day;
    • staying away from caffeinated beverages before bedtime;
    • keeping your bedroom cool, dark and quiet to improve sleep quality; and
    • exercising before going to bed, which is a good option for maintaining your heart rate for sound sleep.
