The Chicago Sky forward became the first professional athlete to walk in the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show on Wednesday (Oct 15), joining the brand’s high-profile “Wings Reveal” lineup in New York.

“It was destined for me,” Reese said during an interview before the show began.

“This is already for me. I’m so happy to be sitting in this room with so many amazing models and women. The team that put this all together has been amazing. I’m so excited.”

Reese said she hired a modeling coach to “perfect my walk”.

“I walk, sleep, hoop,” she said. “And I hoop, sleep, walk.”

Prince William choked back tears as he discussed the devastating impact of suicide with a woman whose husband took his own life in a short film released by the British royal’s office on Oct 10 to mark World Mental Health Day.

In the film, the heir to the throne speaks with Rhian Mannings, whose husband Paul took his life five days after the sudden death of their young son George from illness in 2012, at her home in Cardiff. They discuss the need for better support for those who are bereaved or affected by suicide.

He becomes clearly emotional after asking Mannings, who founded bereavement charity 2wish to help those who experienced the unexpected death of a child or a young adult, what she would have said to her husband.

Britney Spears is being accused of having cheated on Kevin Federline with a female dancer, according to the latter’s upcoming memoir.

In You Thought You Knew, out Tuesday, 47-year-old Federline — who met and married the pop star, 43, in 2004 — writes that he found Spears “going at it” with one of her female dancers during a European tour amid their “whirlwind” romance.

“As I passed one of the rooms, I glanced inside — and froze. There she was. Theresa was sitting on the edge of the bed … Full-on making out,” reads an excerpt published by USA Today.

The former backup dancer says the alleged encounter left him with “a sudden clarity.”

”This wasn’t what I signed up for. So I got the hell out of there,” he writes. “At that point, I cared about nothing else — I just wanted out.”

Federline claims he tried to get “the first flight back to the States” when the singer returned to their room to find him packing and “started apologising, explaining, promising it would never happen again.”

“She told me she didn’t realise how serious I was about us, that she was overwhelmed, and it had been a mistake,” he writes. “That moment was a turning point for both of us. It was our first fight. … I think it was the moment she realised I wasn’t there for the fame or the perks. I was only there for her. … The fact that I was ready to walk away … proved it was real.”

“There is no better way to draw the community to approach the police and let them know that we are approachable, we’re humans as well, than by handing out free ice-cream to the kids,” said Lt. Kyle Besse of the Norwich, Connecticut police department.

“The smiles on the kids’ faces are really what make you realise that this is a great community outreach service.”

Sabah-born celebrity stylist Saerah R. Kunjan is celebrating a career high after receiving the Green Thread Award at the 2025 Borneo Fashion Week on Wednesday (Oct 15).

She took home the honour, which recognises outstanding contributions to sustainability in fashion, for her 15-look collection Re:Born/eo.

Crafted primarily from upcycled denim and reclaimed textiles, the collection combines traditional craft techniques like linangkit, brass work and woven textiles from Sabah and Sarawak.

It was brought to life through collaborations with craft communities across Sabah, Sarawak and Peninsular Malaysia’s Orang Asli groups.

In a statement, Saerah said her win belongs to “every artisan, seamstress and hand that stitched stories” into the garments.

To get there, you need to make your way to Ipoh first, either via the Electric Train Service (ETS), bus or car. Gua Tempurung is 37km from the city.

3. Zoo Negara (Selangor)

For those seeking a fun escape, visit the Zoo Negara in Ampang, Selangor, where there are over 4,000 animals residing.

At the Ape Centre, learn some interesting facts about primates like the chimpanzees and our orang utans. The Bird Aviary, meanwhile, has a diverse collection of bird species, some of which are classified as endangered.

More than just entertaining, the Zoo Negara is an educational experience for both children and adults.

There are public buses from Kuala Lumpur that can take you to the zoo. Alternatively, you can also take the LRT, or take an e-hailing service.

4. Melaka Crocodile & Recreational Park (Melaka)

The historical state of Melaka is a popular weekend getaway destination. One of the many things you can do here is to visit the Crocodile and Recreational Park in Ayer Keroh.

The park, which has been around since the late 1980s, hosts over 100 species of these scaly reptiles, such as the African dwarf, Indian mugger and hunchback.

Besides crocodiles, there are also other attractions like a petting zoo and a water park. It’s also very near the Melaka Zoo.

There are many tour bus services that go to Melaka, but look for ones that specifically stop at Ayer Keroh instead.

If you’re in Sabah, go on a river cruise along the Klias River in Beaufort, 110km from the capital, Kota Kinabalu.

To reach Beaufort, you can take the train (about two hours) or bus from Kota Kinabalu. You can book a guided tour from the town to explore the Klias wetlands.

As Malaysia prepares to become an ageing nation by 2030, questions surrounding elderly healthcare are becoming increasingly urgent.

Hong Kong actress Lynn Hung recently attended a beauty salon’s anniversary celebration in Causeway Bay, where she answered questions about her personal life. 

In an interview, Hung, who famously dated superstar Aaron Kwok from 2006 to 2013, said she’s aware that her ex-lover is expecting a third child with his wife, Chinese model Moka Fang.

Kwok and Fang, who married in 2017, have two other daughters – Chantelle, eight, and Charlotte, six.

When asked if she would be sending her congratulations, Hung, 45, gracefully responded: “Since everyone’s already sending their blessings, I think I’ll pass.”

She then went on to reflect on her past tendency to splurge on luxury items, adding that she no longer indulges in such spending habits.

“When I open my closet at home, I can still find clothes which I bought over 10 years ago. Some still have the tags on because I never wore them,” she said.

Hung, who married businessman Ken Kwok in 2016, added that she used to shop frequently as a way to reward herself back when she lived alone.

But with two daughters now in her life, she prioritises buying things for them over herself.

Cantonese opera performer and actor Law Kar-ying recently celebrated his 79th birthday with a cosy, belated gathering attended by his wife, Hong Kong diva Liza Wang, and a few close friends.

On Oct 12, Wang shared four photos from the celebration – including one where she affectionately kissed Law on the cheek and another showing the couple smiling warmly in front of a green birthday cake.

The 78-year-old simply captioned her Instagram post: “Happy birthday, Kar-ying! Wishing you good health and all the best!”

Despite being diagnosed with cancer for the fourth time earlier in May, Law – who officially turned 79 on Sept 22 – looked healthy, radiant and in high spirits in the recent pictures shared.

Reports also indicate that he has continued to work and go about his daily routine as usual.

For context, Law was first diagnosed with liver cancer in 2004 and had to undergo a liver removal surgery to save his life.

With Wang’s unwavering support, he stayed optimistic and ultimately overcame the illness. The couple later tied the knot in the United States in 2009.

In 2014, a routine medical checkup revealed a 2cm tumour in Law’s liver. He was also diagnosed with prostate cancer in 2019.
