K-pop girl group T-ara are buzzing with blissful news again after member Eunjung surprised fans with the announcement of her upcoming marriage.
The South Korean media reported that her fiance is South Korean film-maker Kim Byung-woo, who directed the action-fantasy film Omniscient Reader: The Prophecy (2025) and Netflix’s upcoming film The Great Flood.
The South Korean singer-actress, whose full name is Hahm Eun-jung, shared that she will be tying the knot on social media on Oct 16.
“After losing my mother, whom I thought would always be by my side, a year ago, I’ve longed to build a family of my own, just like hers,” the 36-year-old wrote in Korean, alongside a photo of a bouquet of flowers.
She described Kim as “someone who understands and respects my work better than anyone else, and who has silently supported me through difficult times”, adding “please support me with your love”.
Eunjung’s agency Mask Studio announced in a press statement on Oct 16 that the private wedding will be held at a hotel in Seoul on Nov 30, “with only family and close friends in attendance”.
“We ask for your continued support as Eunjung embarks on a new journey and continues to deliver outstanding projects with a more mature image.”
